A bride's hands with an engagement ring

What to expect when you create a bespoke engagement ring.

Creating an engagement ring can sound daunting from the outside — a world of trade terms, invisible differences and once-in-a-lifetime stakes. In practice, it is a conversation. Here is how a bespoke ring actually unfolds at GLISORA, from first message to the moment the box opens.

1. The conversation

Everything starts on WhatsApp. Tell us what you know — a style she has admired, a photograph, a budget range you are comfortable with — and just as importantly, what you do not know yet. There is no form to fill and nothing to commit to; this stage is simply about understanding the person the ring is for.

2. Stones, honestly presented

We then present a short selection of certified diamonds within your range — typically three to five, never thirty. Each comes with its IGI or GIA certificate, our own photographs and video in natural light, and a plain-spoken note on why we chose it. If nothing sings, we look again. The right stone is worth a second week.

3. Design and approval

Sketches follow, then a rendered design for approval. You will see the ring from every angle before a gram of gold is cast. Nothing proceeds until you are certain.

A bespoke ring should feel inevitable — as if it could never have been anything else.

4. The making

Casting, mounting, setting, polishing, hallmarking: allow four to six weeks for the making itself. We send photographs at the milestones — many clients tell us the waiting becomes part of the story they tell later.

5. The hand-over

The finished ring arrives fully insured, in the GLISORA presentation box, with its certificates and our lifetime care commitment. Sizing after the proposal is on the house — she should not have to be careful with her own ring.

Thinking about a proposal this year? Start the conversation on WhatsApp — no obligation, and every question is a good question.
